Next time you visit Orlando Florida on vacation, why not check out all the fun you can have away from the theme parks?
We’ve just spent 2 whole months there as snowbirds, and visited lots of great places, mostly water based, and all this is low cost fun.
We were based in Lake County near Mount Dora, which is a great place to visit for the day, as every month there is a festival with a different theme. We recorded lots of video of our adventures, and later in this blog I hope to give you the link where you can take a look for yourself, as I uploaded them to YouTube.
We visited Tavares, the geographical center of Florida where there were dragon boat races on Lake Harris; we caught the speedboat races on Lake Eustis, and had a great day out in Kelly Park, Apopka where you can go tubing in fresh warm water. Watch the video of this and you will not be able to wait to go there.
The Dora Canal has been called the most beautiful mile of water in the world, so peaceful, the silence only broken by birds calling and whistling high in the treetops above. We made a special video of this on its own, as we saw lots of otters, blue heron, alligators and lots more wildlife.
Another place to add to your list is Blue Springs State Park, near Orange City, where West Indian manatees spend the winter months. They are easy to view from a boardwalk; there are lots of them, with fish everywhere too. Out of manatee season, this is a great place to picnic, swim, or dive to the cave which churns out the lovely warm clear water.
Just a few miles up the road from here is De Leon state park, another great place for a day out. Either take your own picnic here, or visit the converted sugar mill with its big water wheel and make fresh pancakes for yourself from a mix supplied to you at the table.
All of these activities come at very little cost, so they are very suitable for families on a low budget.
For instance, entrance to all of the state parks in Florida is only $8 per day per car, most have outdoor barbeques, so take your food along and have a full day out for only $8 for the whole family.
So, if you’re ready to watch the video and others I recorded here’s the link.
Until recently, many of my websites were with different hosting services, and not necessary the best hosting for business web hosting, as in the early days, I went for affordable hosting, paying little attention to see if they were the best web host to best suit my requirements.
This resulted in many of my sites being hosted with different web hosting services, which of course all had their own web hosting plans, with me paying each web hosting company a monthly fee.
So for this past few months I’ve trawled the Internet searching for the best web hosting company I could find with a web hosting service which would host all of my sites with just one web hosting package.
It had to be affordable web hosting, reliable web hosting, and cater for business web hosting.
I know I can finally say I’ve found the best hosting available, and they offer hosting services both in the USA as well as a UK web hosting service.
That web hosting company is d9hosting and already I’ve transferred many of my sites to their hosting services, giving me just one web hosting plan to pay for monthly instead of many.
If you are looking for affordable web hosting with the best hosting out there, just check what web hosting package d9hosting has to offer you best, and I’m sure you will agree with me if you are looking for business web hosting, affordable web hosting and/or whatever web hosting solution to meet your own particular needs, d9hosting is the best hosting for you.
I’ve also spent a lot of time completing my 2 most recent e-Books, and I’m doing a special deal on them just now to get sales moving, so I’ll tell you about that in my next post.
Never give up trying,

We finally made it, we’ve finished all our paper work, and today the site is live.
I’m doing well with my plan, which is JOOB Weight Loss Plan 14, meaning I’ve teamed up with a buddy to both lose 14 lbs in 14 weeks.
Since deciding to go for this 3 days ago, I’ve walked 2 miles each day and used the Wii Fit for a half hour work-out each day.
Already my weight has gone down, and so has my BMI. (Body Mass Index.)
That’s enough encouragement for me to stick with the plan.
Coincidentally, we find that today is Ash Wednesday, when we all should try to give something up for this next 40 days during Lent.
So why not join us now, lose weight at no cost, and become healthier in the process.
Hope to see you there,
Art
Update: After this first week, I’ve posted an
update here
I can tell you there are mixed results.
Well, here I am back in the saddle after my extended vacation in Florida as a snowbird.
I’ve been aware that my weight has crept up these past few months, as I stopped walking, exercising and using the Wii Fit because of illness last year which resulted in me having 3 operations.
So yesterday, I got the Wii Fit out again, and after having to replace the 2 batteries, the machine showed me that it was 248 days since I last used it, I had put 13 pounds on in weight in that time, and my body mass index had risen to 30.76 from 28.87 when I last used the Wii Fit.
Not news that anyone wants to know about.
Amazon have a 17% discount offer on the Wii right now if you care to check their offer out below:
So, being normally strong willed, I stated to do something about it right away:
First off, I went through my 8 most used routines on the Wii Fit, which clocked up 29 minutes of workout time. This was yesterday morning.
Come the afternoon, I felt sufficiently energised to re-start my walking program.
While in Florida, I had found a great Omron Pedometer with a massive 37% discount. In the past I have found that pedometers are great gadgets to carry during exercise for use as a step counter and health and fitness monitor. So off I went on a 2 mile walk, which I have repeated already today. Here’s the link to that great discounted offer:
While talking to my youngest, I discovered that she too, with her husband has been on a weight loss program, and from this, they are formulating a new plan which they’ve called the JOOB weight loss plan. No dieting is necessary, but obviously a sensible diet will help you to achieve your goal.
If you too are trying to lose weight, and need to guidance and support AT NO COST, please take a look at my other blog
See you over there?

What a busy time this last month has been.
First I completed my new e-book on and it’s now available for download.
Following on from my Christmas Toy Winners site, I followed that up with a blog for all fans of the mighty Wii.
Once these were all finished, I reviewed them all and added a few video capsules and made them as informative as I could.
I hope you can see from these sites how a beginner can get some sites up there and start marketing.
Once these are starting to return some revenue, you can progress to make better and bigger sites.
The important thing about all this is that you learn all the time.
Have some Fun

It’s hard to believe, but the Christmas rush has already started. If you are shopping for childrens toys, some of the winners this year have already sold out. Top toys for kids this year are educational toys, followed closely by baby toys, but look into any toy store or toys online and you will find that some of the winners, the hot toys, are in short supply already. I’ve compiled a top childrens toy list on my hub pages blog, so visit my Christmas 2008 Childrens toys winners by following this link.
An owner wishing to promote a web site will write a short article or pay someone to write the article for them which can then be viewed by the whole world when pubished.
The whole purpose will be to increase sales of the item which is being promoted, and the article can be made more effective by writing a short bio at the end of the article and some contact references.
Before the internet, this form of marketing was used widely in printed form mainly in newspapers, but the Internet has made this affordable to everyone.
You may question why any site owner will set up an article directory site and accept all articles for free, but these sites can become very popular, and the more traffic that the site generates, so too is the potential to gain revenue from the site from paid adverts from the likes of Google, so it’s a win-win situation for both the site owner and the writer of the article.
Online articles are so popular now against printed articles because of the speed in which any subject can be searched for on line with the use of keywords.
This is just one way to promote your business, and the best part is that it’s free, so everyone who has something to promote should be including article marketing in their promotion campaign.
Those keywords should be carefully chosen, as that is how everyone will find your site and your article, by typing in the keyword which they are searching for, and if your article is about that keyword and you have optimised your article with that same keyword, your article should be easier to find.
Shortly I will be making a short course available for free about article marketing, but this will be restricted to my subscriber list, so if you would like to receive this course which will be spaced over several days, please sign up in the opt-in box above.
First, you must come up with a catchy title. Try “Curiosity killed the cat” or something just as intriguing to promote your business. Could you just imagine the reaction if people would like to know more about the article just by reading the title? It would also be helpful if you use keywords so people who type it will see your article. At the same time, you can mention the benefits of what reading your articles can do for them.
Second, make sure that your article is well organized. Instead of just writing your article paragraph by paragraph, maximize the use of bullets or numbers to stress important points. This will make their reading experience a memorable one because they are able to remember it.
Third, your articles have to be informative and not just to impress the reader. You can do so by using simple words instead of using big ones by putting this in a way that the average person can understand. You may have had an experience at the hospital where the doctor told you of your condition using some medical term that sounds serious, but in English simply means you have a stomach ache.
Once you finish writing the article, read it over and see if you understand it. Better yet, give this to someone and see what they say. If there are some concerns, edit it because although you may be an expert in this matter, your readers may not and the reason why they want to read it is to learn more about what you have to offer.
I recently came across a fitness eBook that I am recommending to you today. Its name is Fit, Healthy Self and was written by an engineer and a certified personal trainer.
One of the really nice features about this eBook are the videos these gals put together for you.
They have ten videos that show you how to exercise all the major areas of your body.
Each exercise can be performed at different levels according to your present strength or fitness level, so there is something for every one. It’s working for me. You can check it out here
Can you believe it’s Friday again already? How time flies when you’re enjoying yourself.
There I was, ready to wind down early for the weekend, and into my inbox came an invitation I couldn’t ignore. It was an offer to download yet another free E-book, but something attracted me to read more, and the result is that I’ve just spent the last 4 hours reading all 134 pages of a book detailing everything there is to know about blogging, and monitorising that blog. The amazing thing here though is that the book is a free download, with no catches at all, and it was so riveting I made notes to refer back to later when I need to put everything into practice for myself.
That book is called Building a Business, not a Blog.
Just by reading the index you instantly recognise this as an important work of authority, and the book goes into extreme detail about what is necessary to become a successful blogger. If you do nothing else over the week-end, I recommend you download this book and digest every word. You can find it at http://www.johncow.com
Hope you agree the value of having such a title in your cyberspace library.
Have a good one,
Art
To get found on the internet, all sites must rely on good keyword research, and your site built around the keywords which best describes the content of your site.
There are some very good keyword research tools available, but Google kindly offers a free tool, which they have just recently upgraded to show a monthly estimate of searches made for each keyword.
This is invaluable, especially to Newbies, making it so easy to find and identify all of the keywords which need to be included in your page script, titles and descriptions. I found it very user friendly.
Here’s the link:Google’s Keyword Tool
Have a nice day,
